BAMBOO HARP
This piece is crafted from locally harvested bamboo and embodies the intersection of nature, craft, and digital design. Each slat was hand-cut, bent over custom plywood jigs, and laminated with epoxy to form two graceful arches.
Using parametric design tools, we explored the structural and spatial possibilities of connecting these arches, ultimately shaping a form that resonates with harmony and rhythm. Much like the strings of an instrument, the sculpture’s curves evoke both tension and compression, balance and vibration.
The piece reflects this year’s festival theme of Music—transforming natural material into an architectural expression that feels both lyrical and grounded. It is at once a study in material intelligence and a celebration of design’s ability to turn structure into song.

While the Perspectiva team has extensive experience working with all building materials, they have one shared passion: bamboo.
By combining centuries-old techniques with modern technology and parametric design, they are bringing bamboo construction into contemporary architecture, creating beautiful, complex structures that honor our environment.
